Current Available Positions

The CAAD research group at the IWR/University of Heidelberg is looking for a PhD-student, postdoc and/or visitors for 3 up to 6 months to carry out research in one of the following fields:

  • Development of grid/particle-based numerical solvers, (including SPH and N-body)
  • The internal structure of glitching pulsars (EOS, QCD, theory and/or observations)
  • Robust solvers for the Gross-Pitaevskii equation
  • Interactions of superfluids with normal rotating fluids in neutron stars
  • Numerical modelling of rotating fluids between two concentric spheres

The appointments may start immediately and the income is up to 3300 Euro/month,depending on family-status and experience.

Graduate students, who intend to pursue research in theoretical and/or computational astrophysics toward achieving Master or PhD degree in Physics and Astronomy at both universities:
